Removal Procedure

Turn battery disconnect switch (1) to the OFF position.

Open door assembly (2).

Disconnect negative cable assembly (3) before disconnecting positive cable assemblies (4).

Disconnect cable clamps (6) and (7) and set the cables aside. Remove holddown (5).

Attach a suitable lifting device to battery (8). The weight of battery (8) is approximately 53 kg (117 lb). Repeat this step for battery (9).

Open door assembly (10).

Disconnect negative cable assembly (11) before disconnecting positive cable assemblies (12).

Disconnect cable clamps (14) and set the cable aside. Remove holddown (13).

Attach a suitable lifting device to battery (16). The weight of battery (16) is approximately 53 kg (117 lb). Repeat this step for battery (15). Installation Procedure
Install batteries (15), (14), (9), and (8) in the reverse order of the removal procedure.
Tighten the locknuts for holddowns (5) and (13) to a torque of 6.8 1.4 N m (60.19 12.39 lb in).
