Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to ripper shank (1). The weight of ripper shank (1) is approximately 363 kg (800 lb).
Remove cotter pin (2), retainer (3), and pin (4) .

Raise ripper frame (6) all the way. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to lower ripper shank (1) through the bottom of ripper beam (5). Remove ripper shank (1) .
Repeat Step 1 and Step 3 for the remaining ripper shanks.
Lower the ripper frame to the ground.Installation Procedure

Raise ripper frame (6). Feed Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device through the opening in the top of ripper beam (5) .
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to ripper shank (1). The weight of ripper shank (1) is approximately 363 kg (800 lb).
Raise ripper frame (6) until ripper shank (1) can pass through the bottom of ripper beam (5) .

Raise ripper shank (1) into position with Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device. Install pin (4), retainer (3), and cotter pin (2) .
Remove Tooling (A) and the appropriate lifting device.
Repeat Step 1 through Step 5 for the remaining ripper shanks.
