1. Put clean oil on the bridge dowels, sockets of push rods (1) and inside bridges (2). Install bridges (2) in the correct position. 2. Push straight down on the top contact surface of valve bridge (2) with a force of 4 to 45 N (1 to 10 lb.). Turn the adjustment screw clockwise until contact is made with the valve stem. Turn the adjustment screw 20° to 30° more to keepbridge (2) straight on the dowel. Hold the adjustment screw in this position and tighten the locknut to a torque of 28 4 N m (22 3 lb.ft.). 3. Put rocker shaft assembly (3) in position on the cylinder head. Make sure the adjustment screws in the rocker arms are correctly engaged with the push rods. 4. Put clean engine oil on the threads of rocker shaft assembly bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) in letter sequence to a torque of 270 25 N m (200 20 lb.ft.). Tighten bolts again in lettersequence to a torque of 450 20 N m (330 15 lb.ft.). Tighten the bolts again in letter sequence to a torque of 450 20 N m (330 15 lb.ft.). 5. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seal for adapters (4).6. Install the nuts which hold the adapters and tighten to a torque of 13 3 N m (10 2 lb.ft.).7. Connect fuel injection lines (6) to the adapters. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 40 7 N m (30 5 lb.ft.). 8. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals on fuel injection lines (7). Install fuel injection lines (7). 9. Use tooling (A) to tighten the fuel injection line nut at the fuel injection nozzle. Tighten the fuel injection line nuts to a torque of 40 7 N m (30 10 lb.ft.).10. Put elbow (9) in position to engage with elbow (10).11. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of clamp (8) and the two clamps for elbow (10). Tighten the clamps to a torque of 8 0.5 N m (72 4 lb.in.). 11. Install turbocharger heat shield (11). 12. Install exhaust heat shield (12). 13. Make an adjustment of the valves to have a clearance of .015 in. (0.38 mm) for intake and .030 in. (0.76 mm) for exhaust.
