Start By:a. remove drum assembly1. Position wooden blocks on both sides of the drum assembly.2. Drain the oil from the drum support housing into a suitable container. The capacity of the drum gear reducer is 2.4 liters (0.62 U.S. gal). 3. Rotate drum support assembly (1) to the position as shown and secure with a suitable clamp.4. Attach a lifting strap and Tool (A) to bracket (2). Remove three bolts (3) and remove bracket (2). The weight of the bracket is 38 kg (84 lb). 5. Remove the clamp and position drum support assembly (1) as shown.6. Attach a lifting strap and Tool (A) to bracket (4). Remove three bolts (5) and remove bracket (4). The weight of the bracket is 38 kg (84 lb). 7. Remove two bolts and vibratory motor (7) from the drum support housing (6). When installing vibratory motor, apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock on two bolts. 8. Remove vibratory shaft (8) from drum support housing (6). After removing vibratory shaft, place a suitable cover over the drum support housing opening to prevent contamination. 9. Attach lifting straps and Tool (A) to plate assembly (9). Remove six remaining bolts (10) and remove the plate assembly (9). The weight of the plate assembly is 122 kg (270 lb). 10. Remove six bolts and six mounts (11) from plate (12). 11. Attach a suitable hoist and Tooling (B) to drum support housing (6). Remove eight bolts (13) and remove the drum support housing. During installation, apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock to bolts (13). The weight of the drum support housing is 41 kg (90 lb). Apply 6V-4876 Molykyte Lubricant to shaft splines before installing the vibratory motor. For installation of the drum support housing, reverse the removal steps. After the drum support housing has been installed, fill the drum support housing with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual Form No. KEBU6859, for the correct procedure.
