Introduction
This Special Instruction outlines the procedure for reworking the lift arm. This Special Instruction provides the required modification for grinding the lift arms. The rework procedure for grinding the lift arms creates the proper amount of clearance. Refer to Illustrations 1, 2, 3 and 4 for a view of the affected area (1).

Top viewInterference between lift arms (2) and plate (3) occurs. Remove the lift arms (2) and 7 mm (0.275 inch) of material from the end of the lift arms (2). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR9765.

Dimension (5) is the specification for the lift arm before the rework procedure and dimension (4) is the specification for the lift arm after the rework procedure.
