Personal injury or death can result from a fire.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Do not fill fuel filter with fuel before installing the fuel filter. Contaminated fuel causes accelerated wear to fuel system parts.

Open the access door (if equipped) at the rear of the machine. Turn the red handle of the fuel shutoff valve in order to shut off the fuel supply.
Open the access cover for the engine compartment. The access cover is located on the right side of the machine.

Remove the filter with a strap wrench.
Wash the filter mounting base in clean, nonflammable solvent. Make sure that all of the old seal is removed.
Coat the seal of the new filter element with clean diesel fuel.
Install the new filter element by hand. When the seal contacts the base, tighten the filter element for an additional 3/4 turn.Rotation index marks are positioned on the filter elements at 90 degree intervals. Use these rotation index marks as a guide when you tighten the filter.
Open the fuel shutoff valve. Close the access door (if equipped).
Prime the fuel system.
