HOSE AS 3463325 - Caterpillar

1. Identify and disconnect all hydraulic hoses (1). Plug and cap hoses to prevent contamination from getting into the hydraulic system. Disconnect control linkage (2) at the bottom of the pump. 2. Support the traction pump and remove two capscrews (3), then remove the traction pump. Install in the reverse order.Disassemble Traction Pump
Start By:a. remove traction pump 1. Loosen capscrew (1) and remove pump drive gear (2). 2. Remove four bolts (3) and remove block (4). 3. Remove two plugs (5), springs (6) and valves (7) from the block. 4. Remove four bolts (8) and remove end cap (9). 5. Remove bearing race (10) and shim (11) from the end cap. Remove plug (12), spring (14) and valve (13) 6. With valve plate (15) in place to protect the cylinder block, install bearing puller (16), as illustrated. Compress cylinder block spring slightly and remove bearing (17). Remove bearing puller (16) and cylinder block plate (15) from the pump. 7. Remove cylinder block (18) from the pistons and the pump. Remove two bolts (19) and remove detent (20) from the pump housing. Refer to the line drawing of the traction pump, at the beginning of the assembly story, to see the layout of pins (21) and (22). 8. Drive pins (21) and (22) down until the two lower pins come out of the swashplate. Move the swashplate back and forth to be sure that the pins are out of the way. Then drive the two remaining pins out and remove shafts (23) and (24) as indicated by the arrows. 9. Lift pistons and swashplate (25) out of the pump housing as an assembly.10. Bend the lock tabs and remove four small bolts (26) from the swashplate. Remove pistons (27) and piston retaining ring (28) from the swashplate. 11. Remove polished thrust plate (29) from the swashplate. 12. Remove shaft (30) from the pump housing and remove bearing (31). 13. Remove bearing race (32) and lip seal (33) from the pump housing.14. Remove lip seal (34) and bearing (35) from both sides of the pump housing.Assemble Traction Pump
At the time of assembly, be sure that all parts are clean and that all moving parts are lubricated with hydraulic system oil.
Traction Pump1. Install bearing (35) and lip seal (34) in both sides of the pump housing.2. Install lip seal (33) as illustrated.3. Install bearing race (32) into housing and bearing (31) onto shaft (30). Install shaft (30) into the housing. 4. Position polished thrust plate (29) onto the swashplate. Position pistons (27) and piston retaining ring (28) onto swashplate, install bolts and locks (26).5. Install cylinder block group (18) onto pistons (27) and the swashplate. 6. Position cylinder block group (18), the pistons and the swashplate into the pump housing. Measure and mark a pin punch as to the proper depth to drive bottom pins (21) and (22). Install shafts (23) and (24) through the pump housing and into the swashplate. Line the shaft pin hole up with the swashplate pin
