HOSE AS 3474340 - Caterpillar

Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or for disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

Disconnect hose clips (1) . Loosen clamps (5) and (6) . Slide hoses (3) and (4) toward the rear of the machine. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) . Remove adapter (7) . Disconnect tube (8) . Remove bolts (9) and remove valve assembly (10) .

Disconnect harness assembly (12) .

Disconnect hose clips (15) . Remove bolts (14) and lay condenser (13) on the left track.

Disconnect clip (16) . Remove pin retainer (17) from both sides.

Remove bolts (18) and plate (19) . Position top hoses on top of bracket (20) .

Install Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto manifold (24) . The weight of manifold (24) is approximately 45 kg (100 lb).

Use Tooling (B) and remove pins (25) .Note: Machines with electronically controlled engines are equipped with a crank without injection plug. The crank without injection plug disables the fuel injection system. The crank without injection plug allows the engine to crank without starting the engine.

Disconnect plug (27) and connect plug (26) to the harness in order to disable the fuel injection.
Turn the start switch to the START position. Crank the engine for one second. Move the implement control lever to the RAISE position. Continue cranking the engine. Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. Allow the starting motor to cool for 5 minutes before you crank the engine again.Note: Should the implement control lever moves to the LIFT position before you crank the engine for one second. The radiator guard will not tilt.
