(9) Pressure tap to head end of coupler cylinder (10) Hose assembly to head end of tilt cylinder1. Connect a 6V3081 Hose to pressure tap (5) with a 6V4143 Coupler. Install a 28 000 kPa (4000 psi) pressure gauge.2. Start the engine and make sure the implement held by the coupler cylinder is on the ground and level.3. Increase the engine rpm to high idle. Look at the test gauge and move the coupler control lever to the ENGAGE position. The high reading on the gauge is the pressure setting of the relief valve. Do not keep the control lever in the ENGAGE position at the relief valve setting for more than 5 seconds. The correct pressure setting of the relief valve is 10 000 500 kPa (1500 72 psi).

If it is necessary to change the pressure setting of relief valve (11), stop the engine and loosen nut (7) and turn screw (8) either clockwise for an increase or counterclockwise for a decrease in the pressure setting of relief valve (11).5. When the pressure setting is correct, tighten nut (7) to a torque of 25 3 N m (18 2 lb. ft.). Remove the test equipment. 6V4161 Hydraulic Test Group.1. Connect a 6V3081 Hose to pressure tap (19) with a 6V4143 Coupler. Install a 28 000 kPa (4000 psi) pressure gauge.2. Start the engine and lift the lift arms until they are parallel with the ground. Move the tilt control lever to TILT BACK position until the implement is fully tilted. Release the tilt control lever.

(20) Relief valve for rod end of tilt cylinders3. Increase engine rpm to high idle. Look at the test gauge and move the lift control lever to LOWER position. The high reading on the test gauge is the pressure setting of the relief valve. The high reading on the test gauge must be 22 400 300 kPa (3250 45 psi).
