HOSE AS 3520152 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect the oil cooler tube assembly from relief valve (1).2. Remove the three bolts (2) and remove relief valve (1) from the torque converter housing. 3. Remove O-ring seals (3) and (4) from the relief valve body. 4. Remove covers (5), (6) and the O-ring seals from the relief valve body. 5. Remove spring (9), spacers (8) and valve spool (7) from relief valve (1). 6. Remove ring (13), retainer (12), spring (11) and poppet (10) from valve spool (7).Install Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve
1. Make sure all of the parts of the relief valve are clean and free of dirt and foreign material. Put clean oil on all the parts at assembly. 2. Install poppet (1), spring (2), retainer (3) and ring (4) in valve spool (5). Make sure the shoulder on retainer (3) is toward spring (2) when it is installed. 3. Install valve spool (5), spacers (6) and spring (7) in valve body (8) as shown. Spacers (6) are used to make an adjustment to the pressure needed to open the torque converter outlet relief valve. See POWER SHIFT TRANSMISSION TESTING AND ADJUSTING for the correct pressure setting. 4. Install O-ring seals (10) and covers (9) and (11) on the ends of valve body (8). 5. Install O-ring seals (12) and (13) in valve body (8). 6. Put valve body (8) in position and install the three bolts to hold it to the torque converter housing.7. Connect the oil cooler tube assembly and O-ring seal to valve body (8).8. Fill the transmission with oil to the correct level.
