Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Use Tooling (A) to position the steering motor inside the machine. The weight of the steering motor is approximately 39 kg (86 lb).

Install the O-ring seal and steering motor (4) with bolts (5).

Connect harness assembly (3). Connect hose assembly (2).

Connect hose assemblies (1).
Install the cab floorplate and the cab floor mat.
Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank for the machine that is being serviced. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Tank Oil - Change" for the correct filling procedure. End By:
