Start By:
Remove the front center bottom guard and the rear bottom guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard - Remove".Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the engine oil into a suitable container. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the approximate capacity for the machine that is being serviced. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the proper procedure.

Disconnect hose assembly (1). Remove bolts (3) and engine oil pan (2) .

Remove bolts (10) and support (11) .

Install engine oil pan (2) and bolts (3). Connect hose assembly (1) .
Check the engine oil level. Add engine oil, if necessary. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the machine that is being serviced. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the proper procedure.End By: Install the front center bottom guard and the rear bottom guard.
