Ripper Lift Control
Implement pump (5) sends oil flow to implement control valve (6). The oil enters implement valve (6) through inlet manifold (7). A portion of this oil flows from inlet manifold (7) to pressure control valve (4) for makeup oil in the steering circuit. The rest of the oil flows past relief valve (8) to the control valve sections of implement valve (6). If the pressure to the control valve sections exceeds the maximum circuit pressure, relief valve (8) will open allow oil to flow to the tank.If the ripper control lever is moved to the RAISE position, a linkage shifts the valve spool in the control valve section for the ripper lift (12). Oil flow from implement pump (5) is directed from ripper lift control valve (12) through a manifold to the rod end of ripper lift cylinders (26). The oil pressure retracts the rods in cylinders (26) and the ripper is raised.If the ripper control lever is moved to the LOWER position, a linkage shifts the valve spool in bulldozer lift control valve section (12). Oil flow from implement pump (5) is directed from bulldozer lift control valve (12) through a manifold to the head end of ripper lift cylinders (26). The oil pressure extends the rods in cylinders (26) and the ripper is lowered.Ripper Tip Control

The oil pressure retracts the rods in cylinders (27) and the ripper tip moves rearward.If the ripper control lever is moved to the SHANK IN position, a linkage shifts the valve spool in ripper tilt control valve (13). Oil flow from implement pump (5) is directed from ripper tilt control valve (13) through a manifold to the head end of ripper tip cylinders (27).
