Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the alternator.
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin.Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.Steam can cause personal injury.Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure.Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.
If equipped with a sound suppression arrangement, refer to Special Instruction, "Installation of the 351-3820 Sound Suppression Ar (If Equipped)" or Special Instruction, "Installation of the 350-2312 Sound Suppression Ar (If Equipped)" for specific panel locations and the correct removal or installation procedure.

Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedure.

Remove bolts (1), nuts (2), adapter (3), and elbow (4).

Remove hose assemblies (5), tube assembly (6), and tube assembly (7).

Disconnect hose assembly (8). Remove bolts (9), bolts (10), nut (11), and bolts (12). Remove elbow (13).

Attach a suitable lifting device onto oil pump (14). The weight of oil pump (14) is approximately 73 kg (160 lb).
Remove bolts (15). Remove oil pump (14).

Remove O-ring seals (16). Installation Procedure
Install oil pump (14) in the reverse order of removal.
