Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Position evaporator coil (17). Install bolts (15). Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 12 3 N m (106 27 lb in).
Position heater coil (18). Install bolts (19). Tighten bolts (19) to a torque of 12 3 N m (106 27 lb in).
Install capillary tube (16) that is located 55.0 3.0 mm (2.00 0.12 inch) from the end and 244.0 10.0 mm (9.60 0.39 inch) deep.

Install coupling (14). Install nut (12). Tighten nut (12) to a torque of 33 3 N m (24 2 lb ft). Connect tube assembly (9).
Install coupling (13). Install nut (11). Tighten nut (11) to a torque of 33 3 N m (24 2 lb ft). Connect tube assembly (10) .

Install valve assembly (8). Install screws (7). Install bolts (6). Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 12 3 N m (106 27 lb in). Connect harness assembly (5). Connect hose (4) and (3).

Connect hose (3). Install cover (2). Install panel (1).
Turn on the heater valves on the engine. Turn the power disconnect switch to the ON position.
Charge the air conditioner system. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG2500, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the tools.
