INTERFERENCE ON CERTAIN EXCAVATORS
PROBLEM:
The various hydraulic hose assemblies from the main hydraulic pump may rub against each other. The hose assemblies are:
Main hydraulic pump discharge
Pilot pump discharge
Cooling fan pump discharge
Drain line
The interference between the hoses may wear a hole in the hoses and cause the hoses to leak. Hoses that leak may cause the loss of implement functions.
SOLUTION:
If the hose assemblies develop leaks because of interference, replace the hose assemblies that are leaking. Make sure that the routing of the hose assemblies is correct. Relocate the hose assemblies for the pilot pump, cooling fan pump, and drain line in order to eliminate the interference that caused the leak.

The information that follows shows the locations of the interference that cause the hose assemblies to leak.

The Correct Routing Of The Hose Assemblies
The hose assemblies must be correctly routed in order to eliminate the interference. Use the information that follows in order to correctly route the hose assemblies.
Clips For The Cooling Fan Pump Hose Assemblies

(F) Hose clips
Make sure that the 5P-7466 and 5P-7467 Clips are installed correctly. Refer to Illustration 4. If the clips are installed as shown, remove the clips and correctly install the clips under the support.

Make sure that the 5P-7466 and 5P-7467 Clips are correctly installed. The clips (F) should be installed as shown in Illustration 5.
Cooling Fan Pump Discharge Hose
The cooling fan pump discharge hose assembly should be routed under the swing pump discharge tube. Refer to Illustration 1. Hose (E) is routed incorrectly.

If the cooling fan pump discharge hose assembly is routed incorrectly, route the hose as shown in Illustration 6.
Pilot Pump Discharge Hose
The pilot pump discharge hose assembly may be located incorrectly. Refer to Illustration 1. Hose (A) is routed incorrectly. Disassemble the 8C-8533 Clip. Relocate the pilot pump discharge hose (A) as shown in Illustration 6.
Drain Hose Assembly
The drain hose assembly may be located incorrectly. Refer to Illustration 1. Hose (B) is routed incorrectly. Disassemble the
8C-8533 Clip. Relocate drain hose (B) as shown in Illustration 6.
Cooling Fan Pump Discharge And Pilot Pump Discharge Hose Assemblies
Tie the cooling fan pump discharge hose assembly (E) and the pilot pump discharge hose assembly (A) together. Use a 115-8645 Guard and two 136-0207 Cable Straps. Refer to Illustration 6.
Drain Line And Pilot Pump Discharge Hose Assembly
Tie the drain line (B) and the pilot pump discharge hose assembly (A) together. Use two 136-0207 Cable Straps. Refer to Illustration
