Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

Remove bolts (1).
Remove guard (2).

Attach a suitable lifting device to center drive shaft (5).
Remove bolts (6) and (7).
Remove center drive shaft (5). The weight of center drive shaft (5) is approximately 82 kg (180 lb). Installation Procedure
When the center drive shaft is installed, it must be installed in phase with the front and rear drive shafts. Serious component damage could occur. Be certain that all the joint group, all the yokes, and all the lubricating fittings are aligned.
Clean the mating faces of the yokes and the drive shaft.

Attach a suitable lifting device to center drive shaft (5) and position center drive shaft (5). The weight of center drive shaft (5) is approximately 82 kg (180 lb).
Install bolts (6) and (7). Tighten bolts (6) and (7) to a torque of 300 30 N m (221 22 lb ft).

Position guard (4) and install bolts (3).

Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
