1. Move parking brake control lever assembly (1) which connects to cable assembly (2), to the DISENGAGED position (lever assembly fully down). 2. Loosen jam nut (3).3. Pull down on clevis assembly (4) to remove slack from lever assembly (1) and cable assembly (2). 4. Remove cotter pin (7), and clevis pin (6).5. Push up on brake lever (5) to remove slack from the brake mechanism.6. Rotate clevis assembly (4) on the cable end until the hole in the clevis assembly is in line with the hole in brake lever (5).7. Rotate clevis assembly (4) counterclockwise (down) two full turns to allow free play in parking brake control lever assembly (1).8. Install clevis pin (6), and cotter pin (6).9. Check for correct adjustment. The parking brake is adjusted correctly when there is 22.5 2.5 mm (.88 .10 in) of free play at the end of parking brake control lever assembly (1).
