The track tension circuits contain trapped oil under pressure. The removal of any fittings before releasing the trapped oil pressure can result in personal injury. To prevent personal injury, perform Releasing Track Tension, (Trapped) Oil Pressure, located in Systems Operation Testing and Adjusting Propel Systems Manual prior to any tests, or removal of any fittings in the track tension circuits.
The right track tension valve is identical to the left track tension valve and located in the right engine compartment.1. Refer to Systems Operation Testing and Adjusting Propel Systems for Releasing Track Tension, (Trapped) Oil Pressure. Tag and identify all lines. 2. Remove four lines (1). Cap and plug immediately. 3. Remove two bolts (2) and remove track tension valve. For installation, reverse removal steps.Disassemble & Assemble Track Tension Valve
1. Remove two valves (1). 2. Remove four O-rings (2) and remove two back-up rings (3). 3. Remove valve (4). 4. Remove two O-rings (5) and back-up ring (6). For assembly, reverse disassembly steps. All valve components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate moving components with clean oil during assembly. Assemble valve with all new seals.
