Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Verify that all of the components of the belt tightener are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Use two persons to position belt tightener (2) to the engine. The weight of the belt tightener is 30 kg (65 lb).
Connect lubrication line (7) to belt tightener (2) .

Install bolt (5), the washer and washer (6) that secures belt tightener (2) to the mounting bracket.

Install two springs (3) to bracket (4) by rotating the belt tightener with a suitable wrench.

Rotate belt tightener (2) with a suitable wrench in order to install six V-belts (1) to the fan drive, the belt tightener, and the crankshaft pulley.
Use Tool (A) (not shown) in order to measure the belt tension. Refer to Specifications, "Belt Tension Chart" for the correct belt tension.End By: Install the radiator guard, the radiator and the oil coolers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Guard, Radiator and Oil Coolers - Install".
