1. Remove eight bolts (1) from flange clamps (2) to disconnect two pressure hoses (3). Cap or plug the hoses and fittings, immediately.2. If the machine is equipped with rear wheel assist, as the machine shown above, disconnect two more hoses (4). Cap or plug the hoses and fittings, immediately. 3. Disconnect one hose (5) on top of the motor. 4. Disconnect electrical connector (6). 7. Remove four bolts (7).8. Slide the motor back, until the splines are clear of the transmission and then remove the motor. For installation of the propel motor, reverse the removal steps.Disassemble And Assemble Propel Motor
Start By:a. Remove the propel motor. 1. Remove two control orifices (1) and (2). Check the O-rings (3) on each orifice for wear or damage and replace, if necessary. 2. Remove nut (4) and coil assembly (5). Upon reassembly, tighten nut (4) to 6.8 N m (60 lb in). 3. Remove valve (6). Upon reassembly, tighten valve (6) to 47 N m (37 lb ft). 4. Remove three screws (7) and plate (8). Upon reassembly, tighten screws (7) to 13.6 N m (10 lb ft). 5. Remove seal housing (9). 6. Check seal (10) and O-ring (11) for wear or damage and replace, if necessary. 7. Remove shaft assembly (12) from pump housing. 8. Remove retaining ring (13) and bearing (14). Inspect the bearing for wear or damage and replace, if necessary. 9. Loosen four screws (15) and four screws (16). Do not remove the screws at this time. 10. Remove six bolts (17) and one bolt (18) from end cover (19). Upon reassembly, tighten bolts (17) to 122 N m (90 lb ft) and bolt (18) to 50 N m (38 lb ft). 11. Remove two plugs (20) with O-rings (21). Upon reassembly, tighten plugs (20) to 41 N m (30 lb ft).12. Remove springs (22), guides (23), and loop flushing spool (24).13. Mark the position of locknut (25) on adjusting screw (26). Remove locknut (25) and the adjusting screw with the O-ring. Inspect the O-ring for wear or damage and replace, if necessary. Upon reassembly, torque locknut (25) to 52 N m (38 lb ft).14. Remove spring (27) and poppet (28). 15. Remove gasket (29), port plate (30) and two crush rings (31). Crush rings (31) are not reusable. Replace with new 1G-0844 Crush Rings. 16. If necessary, remove check valve seats (32) and the check balls behind them.17. If necessary remove guide pins (33). 18. Remove end caps (34).19. Remove springs (35) and control pistons (36). Check the seals on the control pistons for wear or damage and replace, if necessary. Upon reassembly, use tool A to install the seals onto control pistons (36). 20. Remove four bolts (15) and four bolts (16). Upon reassembly, torque bolts (15) to 142 N m (105 lb ft) and bolts (16) to 80 N m (60 lb ft).21. Separate housing (37) from housing (38). 22. Remove gasket (39) and O-ring (40) from the housing. Check the O-ring and
