A. Drum Scraper Removal
1. Park machine on a hard, level surface. Set hand brake and block tires, front and rear.2. Disconnect drum wetting lines (1) from spray bar (304A, 404B and M404B only).3. Attach hoist to front scraper assembly (2).4. Remove all four bolts (2A).5. Remove front scraper assembly from yoke. If difficulty is encountered in this procedure loosen drum mount mounting bolts (10A). Do NOT remove bolts.B. Vibratory Motor Removal
1. Vibratory motor removal (400A, 404A, 404B, 500A, 600A, 450A) a. Loosen hose connection jam nuts (3) on vibratory motors (4).b. Remove vibratory motor mounting stud nuts (4A) and slide motor(s) out access hole. Let motor(s) hang by hoses outside of yoke (older 400, 500, and 600 models had vibratory motors on both sides of drum).2. Vibratory motor removal (300A, 303A, 304A, 700A) a. Vibratory motor removal is the same as item 1, steps a. and b. of above except bolts are used.b. The 303A & 304A has a vibratory motor dirt shield (5). Remove shield by removing bolts (5A).C. Vibratory Microswitch Removal (303A & 304A only)
1. Remove vibratory microswitch (6) from bracket and connecting wire from end cap (6A). Hang switch outside of yokeD. Rotating Union Removal (404B only)
1. Shut off needle valve (7) located under floor of console (404B S/N 09-E-639 and up, M404B S/N 27-B-131 and up).2. Place drain pan under rotating union (8) and loosen hose connection.3. Once residual pressure has escaped disconnect hose allowing oil to drain into pan. Plug hose and rotating union inlet.4. Remove the bolts (8A) holding pulse pickup in place. Hang pulse pickup by wires outside of yoke.5. Remove dirt shield (9) by removing bolts (9A).E. Drum Mount Removal

Wedge a 2 × 4 between the yoke and the top plate of the oscillation mount to keep the drum from tilting off the block.b. Place a 5 to 10 ton capacity jack under yoke on left side below motor access hole.c. Raise yoke to relieve tension from shock mounts (10).d. Put a block of hardwood or other suitable material about 191/2 inches high under the yoke, to the rear of the access hole.e. Remove the bolts (10A) holding shock mount assy. (11) to yoke.f. Repeat steps a. thru d. for opposite side of machine.2. Drum mount removal (300A, 303A, and 304A) (Fig. 2) a. Drum mount removal is the same as item 1, steps a. thru e. of above except shims are present.b. Use a pry bar to remove shims to make rolling drum out from machine easier.
