At the rear of the Inverter cabinet, remove the cover (4) for the compartment that houses the BMCT current sensor.
As instructed in the "Power Train Electrical System Service Shutdown" procedure that was performed at the beginning of this procedure, use the high voltage meter to measure for DC voltage between all of the DC bus bars and connections in the open compartment. Verify that there is less than 50.0 VDC between the bus bars. Once the voltage level is verified, continue to the next step.
Disconnect and remove the 1500 amp rated BMCT current sensor from the mount and the bus bar. A small section of the DC bus bar that passes through the current sensor will have to be disconnected in order to remove the current sensor.
Remove the 1500 amp rated CMCT current sensor from the mount and the bus bar. Mark the current sensor in a way that will allow it to be identified as the original CMCT current sensor. A small section of the DC bus bar that passes through the current sensor will have to be disconnected in order to remove the current sensor.
Mount the unmarked current sensor in the location where the CMCT current is normally located. Install the DC bus bar section that was removed back in the original position. Tighten the bus bar bolts to the proper torque. Connect the harness connector securely on the current sensor.
