Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (5) .

Protect the shaft. Use shrink wrap or electrical tape. Remove cover (6) .

Remove O-ring seal (8) and shims (9) from the housing.

Use Tooling (B) to remove rotating group (10) from housing (11). Do not allow the barrel to separate from the pistons during the removal procedure.

Remove barrel (12) from the pistons.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Remove spring (17) from barrel (12) .

Install shim (18) that was determined in Step 16. Install spring (17) into barrel (12) .

Install barrel (12) onto the pistons.

Raise the temperature of housing (11) to 80 °C (176 °F). Lower the temperature of rotating group (10) .
Install rotating group (10) into housing (11). Do not allow the barrel to separate from the pistons during the installation procedure.
