Remove & Install Exhaust Manifold
Start By:a. remove turbocharger
Typical Example The later model engines have two studs on the exhaust manifold instead of four.1. Remove bolts and spacers (1), exhaust manifold (2) and the six gaskets. The following steps are for the installation of the exhaust manifold.2. Check the condition of the six gaskets used between the cylinder head assembly and the exhaust manifold. If the gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.3. Apply 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads of bolts (1) that hold the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head assembly.4. Position the six gaskets and exhaust manifold (2) on the cylinder head assembly. Install bolts and spacers (1), and tighten them evenly to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).End By:a. install turbocharger
