Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the valve mechanism cover.

Remove brackets (1). Disconnect wiring harness assembly (2). Disconnect hose assembly (3) and tube assembly (4).

Disconnect wiring harness assemblies (5). Remove bolts (6).

Remove bolts (7). There are 15 bolts in total.
Disconnect six harness assemblies (8).
Disconnect three harness assemblies (10) and disconnect six harness assemblies (9).
Remove the valve mechanism cover base.

Remove bolts (11) and remove harness assembly (12).
Remove seal (13) from valve mechanism cover base (14). Installation Procedure
Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Install valve mechanism cover base (14) in the reverse order.

Tightening sequence
Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 25 6 N m (18 4 lb ft) in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 3.
