Remove the vibratory support. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vibratory Support - Remove".
Remove the final drive planetary (drum propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Final Drive Planetary (Drum Propel) - Remove".
Drain the oil from the eccentric weight housing. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Eccentric Weight Housing - Change".

Position the drum with welded item at the bottom of the drum. Notch (X) on eccentric weight housing (1) must be at the top.

Remove two 8T-4187 Bolts (2) that are 180 degrees from each other and install Tooling (A) in each side.
Remove remaining sixteen 8T-4187 Bolts (2) .
Remove two 8T-4779 Bolts (3) and use Tooling (B) (not shown) to separate the eccentric weight housing from the drum.

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to eccentric weight housing (1), as shown. Use the handles on each side of Tooling (C) to lock the tooling to the eccentric weight housing.
Remove eccentric weight housing (1) from the drum. The weight of the eccentric weight housing is approximately 380 kg (838 lb).
Remove shaft (4) from eccentric weight housing (5) .
Repeat Steps 1 through 7 and remove eccentric weight housing (5) from the other side of the drum.
