Put swashplate (36) in position in hydraulic pump housing (5) so that the button is in the seat of collar (37).

Lubricate bearings (29) and (32) with clean hydraulic oil.
Install races (30) and (31), bearings (29) and (32), seals (28) and (33), and covers (27) and (34).
Use Tooling (B) to install retainers (26) and (35) in pump housing (5).

Use Tooling (D) to install ring (19) in the groove of shaft (18).
Install race (20), bearing (21) and race (22) on shaft (18).
Use Tooling (D) to install ring (23) in the groove of shaft (18).
Install washer (24) on shaft (18).

Use Tooling (E) to install seal (25) in pump housing (5). Make sure that the sealing lip is facing toward the inside of the pump housing.

Install shaft (18) in pump housing (5).
Use Tooling (A) to install ring (17) in pump housing (5).

Install pins (13) in block assembly (8).

Install spacer (9), spring (10) and spacer (11) in block assembly (8).
Use Tooling (B) to install ring (12) in block assembly (8).

Put pivot (14) and spider (15) on block assembly (8).

Put pistons (16) in the original locations in spider (15) and in block assembly (8).

Put block assembly (8) in position in pump housing (5), as shown.

Use Tooling (A) to install bearing (6) in plate assembly (3). Make sure that the numbered end of bearing (6) is facing toward the pump housing. The bearing should be 0.80 0.40 mm (.031 .016 inch) below the surface of the plate assembly.
Put piston (7) in position on plate assembly (3).

Put gasket (4) and plate assembly (3) in position on pump housing (5).
Install the bolts that hold the unit together. The torque for the bolts is 38 4 N m (28 3 lb ft).

Check seal (40) and gasket (41) for wear or for damage. If either component is worn or damaged, install a new part on servo valve (2).

Put servo valve (2) in position on plate assembly (3).
Install screws (1) that hold servo valve (2) in place. The torque for the screws is 23 2 N m (17 1 lb ft).
Fill the brake pump with oil. Turn the shaft in order to make sure that the shaft rotates freely. End By:
