Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to water pump (3). The weight of water pump (3) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Install a new O-ring seal for the joint between the water pump and the front housing. Apply a light coat of glycerin to the O-ring seal prior to installation.

Install Tooling (B) in the front housing.
Place the water pump (3) on the front housing and slide the water pump (3) into position.
Install six bolts (2). Tighten bolts to a torque of 60 12 N m (44 9 lb ft). Remove Tooling (B) and install remaining bolts (2).

Install four bolts (1). Tighten bolts to a torque of 47 9 N m (35 7 lb ft).
Connect the connection for the water inlet.
Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
