The new nozzle adapter uses the force of the test fluid to hold the nozzle tight in the adapter. This added force prevents leakage and/or failure to get the normal pressure. This problem of leakage with the 5P4717 Nozzle Adapter Assembly has caused good nozzles to give a bad test result.Adaptable To: Use the new 5P8744 Nozzle Adapter Assembly to test 9L6884 Nozzles. Use the 5P4717 Nozzle Adapter Assembly to test nozzles in engines equipped with precombustion chambers.
