2. Remove nuts (2). Remove the tubes and rods from guard assembly (1).3. Remove plate assembly (3) at both ends. 4. Use bolts (4) to lower guard assembly (1) on wood blocks. Use a hoist to remove the guard assembly from the machine. Weight of the guard assembly is 310 lb. (141 kg). 5. Remove plate assembly (5) at both ends. Put wooden blocks under inside guard assembly (7) and use bolts (6) to lower the guard assembly on the wooden blocks. Use a floor jack to remove the guard assembly from the machine. Weight is 310 lb. (141 kg). 6. Put tooling (A) and (B) in position under machine and lift machine until it is off of the wooden blocks.7. Remove the wooden blocks from under the tracks and lower the machine with tooling (A) and (B) until the tracks are approximately 6 in. (15.2 cm) off the floor. 8. Remove bolts (8) from the track rollers.
The adjuster cylinder for the track is under high hydraulic pressure. Do not visually inspect the relief valve to see if grease is released. Check the adjuster cylinder to see that it moves to the rear and into the front pilot for the recoil springs. Use this warning any time that the track is loosened or tightened.
9. Loosen the track to lower the track roller. See LUBRICATION AND MAINTENANCE. 10. Use a hoist and tool (C) to remove the track roller (9). Weight of the track roller is 328 lb. (149 kg).Install Track Rollers
The adjuster cylinder for the track is under high hydraulic pressure. Do not visually inspect the relief valve to see if grease is released. Check the adjuster cylinder to see that it moves to the rear into the front pilot for the recoil spring. Use this warning any time that the track is loosened or tightened.
1. Put the track roller (1) in position on the track with a hoist and tool (C).2. Tighten the track to lift the roller into position. See TRACK ADJUSTMENT in SPECIFICATIONS. Install the bolts that hold it to the track roller frame. 3. Lift the machine with tooling (A) and (B). Install the wooden blocks under the tracks. Lower the machine on to the wooden blocks. Remove tooling (A) and (B) from under the machine.
Keep away from the area of the wooden blocks when the machine is lowered to the floor.
4. Use a floor jack to put guard assembly (4) on wooden blocks. Install the bolts (3) that hold it. Tighten the bolts (3) to a torque of 800
