Remove the outer spring retainer and the outer spring and discard both pieces. Remove the inner spring and the inner spring retainer and discard both pieces.

Install the inner spring retainer and install the inner spring. Install the outer spring and install the outer spring retainer.

Install the end cover (11) for the servo piston. Compress the springs. Install the snap ring and install the keepers.Note: Grease can be used to hold the keepers in place. When the keepers are in place, release the clamp until the keepers are seated. Remove the clamp and install the cover for the keeper. Install the shaft seals (12). Do not cut or damage the seals.

Install the end cover for the servo. Torque the bolts to 25 N m (18 lb ft). Reset the neutral adjustment back to the recorded dimension in STEP 12.
Repeat the procedure for the opposite end of the pump for the servo. Note: The neutral adjustment screw for the servo is only on one end of the servo.You do not need to measure the neutral adjustment when you change the servo springs on the opposite end of the servo.

Install the 208-2375 6.8 mm Orifice in the 140-3588 Speed Sensing Valve Group . In order to install the orifice, you must remove the snap ring (13) in the end of the valve. Install orifice (14) with the flat side inward and place the cupped side (A) outward. Install snap ring (13) .

Remove the plug in the head of the pump (15). Install the 140-3588 Speed Sensing Valve Group (17). Remove the plug in the pump case. Install a 6V-3965 Fitting (16) and a 7X-5308 Dust Cap .
Reinstall the pump on the machine. Connect all hoses. Reinstall the steering pump.

Remove the Flow Divider Spool from the Flow Divider Valve. Remove items 3 through item 9. Install the end cap and the seal.

Install a 600 PSI pressure gauge on the test port. Item 16 is the test port that is illustrated in figure 23. Start the machine and bring the hydraulic oil temperature to a minimum of 38°C (100 °F). Loosen locknut (18) and turn adjustment screw (19) in order to adjust the DA Valve. You must obtain a pressure reading of 900 kPa (130.5 psi) at low engine idle speed.
Remove the pressure gauge. Install the dust cover on the pressure tap.
