Machine General Information
The tamper system assists with the initial compaction of the material mat during the paving operation. The machine must be in a forward pave mode for the tamper to operate. Refer to "Propel System" for more information.Note: The machine electronic control system logic prevents the tamper system from operating while the propel mode is set to TRAVEL.The tamper hydraulic system is equipped with a variable-displacement pump that provides flow to four tamper motors. The tamper pump is controlled by a proportional solenoid. The proportional solenoid is controlled by the machine electronic control system. A programmable timer allows adjustment of the tamper start delay.
