Installation Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install the O-ring seals to power train oil pump (5). Attach a suitable lifting device to power train oil pump (5) and position power train oil pump (5). The weight of power train oil pump (5) is approximately 79 kg (174 lb).
Install nuts (12) and bolts (11) .

Install bolts (10) .

Connect hose assembly (9) to power train oil pump (5) .

Install hose assembly (8) .
Position housing assembly (6) to power train oil pump (5). Install bolts (7) .
Position hose assembly (3) and install cable strap (4) .

Connect hose assembly (3). Install adapter (1) and the gasket. Install bolts (2) .
Fill the transmission with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission System Oil and Screens - Change/Clean".End By:
Install the torque converter outlet relief valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Outlet Relief Valve - Install".
Install the main drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Drive Shaft - Install".
Install the pump drive coupling. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pump Drive Coupling - Install".
