Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.Note: Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

If necessary, install bushing assembly (20) to belt arm assembly (16).

Position shaft (10) to belt arm assembly (16), as shown. Install dowel (17) that secures shaft (10) to belt arm assembly (16). Install relief fitting (18) to belt arm assembly (16).

Position spring (13) to belt arm assembly (16), as shown. Install pin (15), clevis pin (14) and the washers that secure spring (13) to belt arm assembly (16). Repeat this procedure for the remaining spring.

Lubricate O-ring seal (12) with 1U-6395 O-Ring Assembly Compound prior to installation. Install O-ring seal (12) to shaft (10).

Install spacer (11) to shaft (10).

Install roller bearing (9) to idler pulley (3).

Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease on the lip of lip seal (8) prior to installation. Use Tool (A) to install lip seal (8) to idler pulley (3). Ensure that lip seal (8) is installed facing toward the inside of idler pulley (3).

Reposition idler pulley (3), as shown. Install spacer (7) to idler pulley (3).

Install roller bearing (6) to idler pulley (3).

Position idler pulley (3) onto the shaft. Position retaining washer (5) to the shaft. Install two bolts (4) and the washers that secure retaining washer (5) to the shaft.

Position cover (2) and the gasket to idler pulley (3). Install four bolts (1) and the washers that secure cover (2) to idler pulley (3). End By:
Install the belt tightener. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt Tightener - Install".
