Install plug (34) and the O-ring seal into pump housing (6). Tighten plug (34) to a torque of 90 15 N m (66 11 lb ft).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install pressure pins (33), retaining disc (32), and spring (31) in barrel assembly (28).
Install snap ring (30) on top of spring (31). Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to compress spring (31). Compress until retaining ring (30) can be installed in the groove in barrel assembly (28).

Install bearing (29) on barrel assembly (28) and install plate (26) with pistons (27) in barrel assembly (28).

Wrap pistons (27) with string but do not tie the string. Hold the string tight and carefully install rotating group (25) in pump housing (6). The splines on shaft (21) must engage with splines in the bearing.

Install shim (24) that was determined in Step 13 onto shaft assembly (21). Install bearing cone (23) and O-ring seals (22).

Install bearing cup (20).
Use Tooling (C) in order to adhere port plate (19) to head (5).
Install O-ring seal (18) to head (5).

Install O-ring seal (12), backup ring (13), backup rings (14), O-ring seal (16), backup rings (15), and O-ring seal (17) onto cartridge (11).

Install cartridge (11), solenoid (10), O-ring seal (9), and nut (8) onto control valve body (3).

Install gasket (7) onto control valve body (3).

Install head (5) and bolts (4) onto pump housing (6). Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 75 N m (55.3 lb ft).
Install control valve body (3) and bolts (2) onto pump housing (6). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 12 N m (106 lb in).
