Do not drain the oil from the hydraulic oil tank until the temperature of the oil is cool. If the temperature of the oil is hot, use caution when the oil is drained. Hot oil or components can cause personal injury if they contact the skin. Open the cap on the hydraulic tank slowly to release all pressure in the tank.
1. Open plug (1) on the side of the tank to drain the oil. The capacity of the hydraulic oil tank is 11 gallons (41.6 litre). 2. Remove muffler (3), precleaner (2) and hood (4) from the machine. 3. Disconnect rod assemblies (5) and (6) at bellcrank (7). 4. Remove four bolts (8) that hold the two tube assemblies to the rear of the hydraulic oil tank. 5. Disconnect hydraulic hose assemblies (9) and (10) from the hydraulic oil tank. 6. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic oil tank (11) as shown.7. Remove the hose assembly clip from the lower right side of the hydraulic oil tank. 8. Remove two bolts, washers and nuts (12) that hold the hydraulic oil tank in position on each side. Remove the hydraulic oil tank. The weight of the hydraulic oil tank is 275 lb. (124 kg) empty.Install Hydraulic Oil Tank
1. Fasten a hoist to hydraulic oil tank (1) and put it in position on the machine. Install the four bolts, washers and nuts that hold it. Connect the hose assembly clip to the lower right side of the tank. 2. Connect hose assemblies (2) and (3) to the hydraulic oil tank. 3. Connect tube assemblies (4) to the hydraulic oil tank with four bolts. 4. Connect rod assemblies (5) and (6) to bellcrank (7). If necessary, make adjustments to the two rod assemblies after the machine is completely assembled and in condition to operate.5. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.
