Lower the temperature of the sleeve bearings. Use Tooling (A) to install the sleeve bearings in the pin bore at the foot of the boom. Install the sleeve bearings until Dimension (a) is 9.5 0.8 mm (0.37 0.03 inch) below the outside surface of the boom.

Use Tooling (A) to install lip type seals (1) in the pin bore at the foot of the boom. Install the seals with the sealing lip toward the outside of the boom. Install the lip type seals until the lip type seals make contact with the bearings.
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 in order to install the bearings and the lip type seals on the other side of the boom. End By:
Install the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Boom - Install".
