Schematic For The Left Front Raise SolenoidThis diagnostic code is recorded when the ECM reads the current of the left front raise solenoid circuit as above normal (short to ground). The left front raise solenoid circuit of the machine harness consists of the following components:
The energize signal is wire C751-OR (J1-10).
The return signal is wire K927-BU (J1-7). The possible causes of a CID 0900 FMI 06 are listed here:
The energize signal (C751-OR) is shorted to ground.
The solenoid is faulty.
The ECM is faulty. This is unlikely. The system response to this level two diagnostic code is listed below:
The diagnostic code indicator flashes.
The alarm beeps.
Automatic operating mode is not allowed on the left side.
While the machine is in manual operating mode, the left side of the machine does not respond correctly to requests for raise elevation. Service Notes: Ensure that the CID 0900 FMI 06 is on hold and that the diagnostic code indicator is FLASHING. The diagnostic code should be presently active. This procedure can cause new diagnostic codes to be recorded. Ignore these created diagnostic codes. When the procedure is completed, clear the created diagnostic codes.
Check The Solenoid.
Turn the key start switch and the grade/slope switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
Enter service mode. Ensure that the CID 0900 FMI 06 is on hold and that the diagnostic code indicator is FLASHING. The diagnostic code should be presently active.
Observe the status of the diagnostic code indicator.
Disconnect the machine harness from the left front raise solenoid. Expected Result: The diagnostic code indicator turns OFF when the solenoid is disconnected from the machine harness. Results:
YES - The harness circuit is correct. The solenoid is faulty. Repeat this step in order to verify the solenoid failure. Replace the left front raise solenoid. STOP.
NO - The diagnostic code remains. Proceed to 2.
Check The Solenoid Energize Signal For A Short To Ground.
Turn the key start switch and the grade/slope switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the machine harness connector from the left front raise solenoid.
Disconnect the J1 and J2 machine harness connectors from the ECM.
At the J1 and J2 machine harness connectors for the ECM, measure the resistance from contact J1-10 (energize signal) to all possible sources of ground. The possible sources of ground are the following contacts: J1-2, J1-5, J1-7, J1-15, J1-16 and J2-3. Expected Result: The resistance should be greater than 5000 ohms for each measurement. Results:
OK - The machine harness is correct. Proceed to 3.
NOT OK - There is a short in the machine harness. The short is between the energize signal on wire C751-OR (J1-10) and the circuit with the low resistance measurement. Repair the machine harness or replace the machine harness. STOP.
Check If The Diagnostic Code Remains.
Clean the contacts of the harness connectors.
Reconnect all harness connections.
Turn the key start switch and the grade/slope switch to the ON position.
Enter service mode and clear all inactive diagnostic codes.
Enter operating mode. Then, briefly operate the machine.
Enter service mode. Check whether the diagnostic
