Grade/Slope ControllerThere may be up to six controllers on a machine. The switches that are used in the calibration mode are listed below. (1) "Mode scroll" switch (2) "Menu #1" switch (3) "Menu #2" switch (4) "Enter" switch (5) Diagnostic Code indicator (6) Right readout (7) Left readout (8) Left front raise/lower switch (9) Right front raise/lower switchNote: Calibration mode is used to perform actual tests and adjustments. Only enter calibration mode when you are performing the procedures. Service personnel access the calibration mode by using the "mode scroll" switch. Then, the specific calibration submodes are accessible by using the "menu #1" switch. Normal operation of the Grade & Slope Electronic Control System is not allowed while the ECM is in calibration mode. See Systems Operation, "Modes Of Operation - Calibration Mode" for more information. All calibrations are performed while the ECM is in calibration mode. A specific submode for each item that requires calibration is in the calibration mode. The submodes with the related options are listed below: VALVE - This submode determines the current that is required in order to cause initial raising and lowering of the machine. The process is automatic with minimal effort from the operator. "OFFSET" is the only option for this submode. SLOPE - This submode sets the zero cross slope value of the slope sensor. "CROSS 0" is the only option for this submode. LEFTWAND - This submode sets the end stops of the left wand sensor. The options for this submode are "MAXUP" and "MAXDOWN". RGTWAND - This submode sets the end stops of the right wand sensor. The options for this submode are "MAXUP" and "MAXDOWN". Note: Other submodes and options within the calibration mode are available for use by the factory. Accessing Calibration Information

Readouts With "CALIBRAT" Showing
Press and hold the "mode scroll" switch.
Release the switch when "CALIBRAT" is showing on the left readout. The system now enters calibration mode. "CALIBRT" is showing on the left readout and "MENU #1" is flashing on the right readout. To Select A Calibration Submode

Readouts Showing CALIBRT MENU #1 MENU #1 is flashing which indicates the operator should press the "menu #1" switch.
First, enter the calibration mode. Select "CALIBRAT" with the "mode scroll" switch. See the preceding topic "To Enter Calibration Mode ". After the calibration mode is entered, the system automatically requests further action from the operator by flashing the word "MENU #1".
Press and hold the "menu #1" switch.
Release the switch when the right readout is showing the desired submode: "VALVE", "SLOPE", "LEFTWAND" and "RGT WAND". The different submodes are used to perform calibration procedures. The calibration procedures below describe the proper procedures to follow while you are in the different submodes. To Select An Option Within A Submode
