Place the last stand (4) under the front of the machine. Adjust tube (2) to the proper height and insert pin (3) .
Start the engine and increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Move the bulldozer control to the RAISE position in order to slowly lower the front of the machine onto the stand.
Lower the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.

Rotate (6) screws counterclockwise in order to remove access panel (5) .

Connect the communication adapter to the service tool connector (7) .

Open the access door on the left side of the machine.

Install tooling (B) or tooling (C) onto the pressure tap (8) and (9) .
Remove the access panel in the floor of the cab.

REVERSE pressure taps
Install tooling (B) or tooling (C) onto the pressure tap (10) and (11) .
Replace the access panel in the floor of the cab.
Start the machine and run the engine at LOW IDLE.

Use Cat ET in order to obtain the needed information for this test. Select the "Status Tool". Then select "Hystat Inputs" under "Machine Control D6K".
Depress the decelerator/brake pedal.
Release the parking brake.
Select the highest maximum ground speed setting.
Increase the engine speed to HIGH IDLE.
Progressively release the decelerator/brake pedal.
Move the speed and direction control to the FORWARD position.
Check the following items.
Engine speed
Drive pressure for the front pump (8)
Drive pressure for the rear pump (9)
Speed of the left drive motor
Speed of the right drive motor
The engine speed should be 2100 100 rpm.
The drive pressure for the front pump at pressure tap (8) should be 12000 3000 kPa (1740 435 psi).
The drive pressure for the rear pump at pressure tap (9) should be 12000 3000 kPa (1740 435 psi).
The speed of each of the drive motors should be 3400 50 rpm.
Subtract the speed of the right drive motor from the speed of the left drive motor. The difference between the two drive motors should be 0 to 40 rpm.
Move the speed and direction control to the NEUTRAL position and allow the tracks to come to a complete stop.
Move the speed and direction control to the REVERSE position.
Check the following items.
Engine speed
Drive pressure for the front pump (10)
Drive pressure for the rear pump (11)
Speed of the left drive motor
Speed of the right drive motor
The engine speed should be 2100 100 rpm.
The drive pressure for the front pump at pressure tap (10) should be 12000 3000 kPa (1740 435 psi).
The drive pressure for the rear pump at pressure tap (11) should be 12000 3000 kPa (1740 435 psi).
The speed of each of the drive motors should be -3400 50 rpm.
Subtract the speed of the right drive motor from the speed of the left drive motor. The difference between the two drive motors should be 0 to 40 rpm.
Move the speed and direction control to the NEUTRAL position.
Decrease the engine speed to LOW IDLE.
Engage the parking brake.
Stop the engine.
