Use the following steps to test the setting of the line relief valve.
Enter the machine.
Lower all the work tools to the ground.
Stop the engine.
Exit the machine.
Release the system pressure. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

(9) Line relief valve
Remove line relief valve (9).

Secure 299-1731 Test Manifold Gp (12) in a suitable holding device.
Install one 360-3692 Plug with one 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal in the bottom of 299-1731 Test Manifold Gp (12).
Install two 204-3716 Adapters (13) with two 3J-1907 O-Ring Seals and two 1P-2375 Quick Connect Couplers (14) in 299-1731 Test Manifold Gp (12).
Attach two 1P-2376 Quick Connect Couplers (15) to two 8F-0024 Hose Assemblies (16).
Install line relief valve (9) in 299-1731 Test Manifold Gp (12).
Connect two 8F-0024 Hose Assemblies (16), two 3B-7722 Pipe Bushings, and 7J-8611 Pipe Elbows to 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump Group.
Connect 8T-0860 Pressure Gauge to 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump Group.
Turn the 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump Group to the ON position. Check for leaks at the connection.
The 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump only has a 7.6 L (2 US gal) reservoir. Pump damage may result if the pump is operated with an empty reservoir.
Slowly increase the pressure. Record the pressure, when the line relief valve opens. Record this pressure onto the worksheet. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Worksheet - Troubleshoot".The pressure setting of the line relief valve should be 24150 350 kPa (3500 50 psi).
Stop the pump.

If line relief valve (9) is within the specification, then go to Step 19. If the line relief valve is not within the specification, then an adjustment is required.
Loosen locknut (10) and turn adjustment screw (11) clockwise to increase pressure. Turn adjustment screw (11) counterclockwise to decrease pressure.
Check the oil level in 3S-6224 Electric Hydraulic Pump Group and refill the oil if necessary. Repeat Step 15 through Step 17.
Tighten locknut (10) to a torque of 24 3 N m (18 2 lb ft).
Remove line relief valve (9) from 299-1731 Test Manifold Gp.
Install a new O-ring on line relief valve (9).
Install the line relief valve to a torque of 45 N m (35 lb ft).
