Information:


Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system, the hopper system, the apron system, and the auger lift system.

Move right hopper switch (5) to the RAISE position. Release the switch when the right hopper cylinder is retracted completely.
Move screed lift switch (6) to the FLOAT position. Lower the screed to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on the inactive instrument panel must also be in the FLOAT position in order to lower the screed.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (6) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (7) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

Move engine start switch (8) to the OFF position after the engine reaches low idle.

Engage hopper lock pin (9) on the right side of the machine.

Remove bolts (10) and remove generator cover (11) .

Assemble the tooling.

Disconnect case drain line fitting (12) from generator motor at fitting (13) .
Connect Tool (B) to motor at fitting (13). Note: Make sure the flow meter is oriented correctly with respect to the flow being measured.
Connect Tool (A) to the case drain line at fitting (12).
Move engine start switch (8) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (7) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch activation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).

Move generator switch (14) to the ON position.
Read flow with Tool (F). The flow should be less than 15 L/min (4.0 US gpm). If the flow rate is outside the specified range, the motor is not operating within design parameters. The motor should be repaired or replaced.
Move generator switch (14) to the OFF position.
Move throttle control switch (7) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (8) to the OFF position.
Remove the tooling. Reconnect the case drain line to the generator motor. Replace generator cover (11) and bolts (10) .
