Factory Password
If the fault persists after the fault check override is used or expired, a factory password will be required in order to apply load to the engine.In order to enter a factory password, select the 5246-0 Aftertreatment SCR Operator Inducement Severity : High - most severe (3) active event code, select clear and enter the factory password.Once the password is entered and confirmed, the engine is allowed full load operation until the battery power is cycled. The DEF tank is considered frozen and Level 3 activates, at power up, when either of the following is true:
The DEF temperature is less than or the temperature is equal to −9° C (16° F).
The DEF tank temperature sensor is faulted.Level 3 results in the following:
Engine is allowed to start and run at idle only
Red emissions warning light
Audible alarm

Engine shutdown or idle only operationThe engine will run at the "Cooldown RPM" (rated speed or idle) for the sum of the "Cooldown Durations" configured into the engine ECM and EMCP but for no more than 10 minutes maximum.
