HOSE AS 4726365 - Caterpillar

Location of the air system relay valve for scrapers.Some time ago the 3J4887 Valve Assembly was canceled and serviced with a different valve assembly. Several fittings and connections are required to install the new valve in the existing air system. These additional parts are not listed in column three of the NPR. The new valve and the additional parts needed are in the following list.

1. Bleed the air system.2. Disconnect the three lines to the former valve.3. Remove the valve and its three studs from the air tank.4. Install one of the new bushings and the new nipple in the supply port of the new valve. Install the new valve in the 3/8" pipe thread hole in the air tank where the former valve was located.5. Install the new plug in the unused supply port in the new valve.6. Install the new union in the 1/4" service port at the top of the valve, and connect the signal hose to this union.7. Install two of the pipe elbows in one of the delivery ports. This will allow routing of one of the delivery lines under the valve.8. Install a new bushing in one pipe elbow, and the remaining new bushing in the delivery port of the valve.9. Connect the two delivery lines to the new bushings at the valve.10. Pressurize the air system, check for leaks, and check brake operation.
