Rework Procedure
Note: Ensure that all safety information, warnings, and instructions are read and understood before any operation or any maintenance procedures are performed. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual "Safety Section".
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
1. Position the machine on firm level ground, articulate the machine to the right, engage park brake, turn off battery disconnect switch, and leave the machine to cool before proceeding with the remainder of the Rework Procedure.
Note: Articulating the machine to the right improves access to the fuel filler tube.
2. Remove fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the strainer.
4. Remove the three mounting bolts. Retain the bolts and washers for later reuse. Refer to Image1.5.1.

5. Loosen the front bulk hose band clamp and remove the fuel filler tube. Refer to Image1.6.1.

6. Install a new 491-7861 Fuel Filler Tube Assembly the bolts and washers that were retained. Tighten the bolts to a specified torque of 11 +/- 1 N.m.
7. Insert the tube into the bulk hose and tighten the band clamp to a specified torque of 4.5 +/- 0.7 N.m, then after 10 minutes re-tighten the clamp to a specified torque of 4.5 +/- 0.7 N.m.
8. Re-install the strainer.
9. Install the fuel filler cap to complete Rework Procedure. Refer to Image1.10.1.
