Disassemble Procedure
Start By:
Remove the control valve. Refer to Remove and Install, "Control Valve (Water) - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Put identification marks on all parts to aid in assembly.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure is started, clean the exterior of the components to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Remove six bolts (2) from control valve housing (1) .Note: Control valve housing (1) is fitted with O-ring (3) .

Remove two bolts (4) and two washers (5). Remove flat plate (6). Remove puck (7) .Note: Shims may be installed behind puck. Retain shims for assembly.

Remove bolt (8) and washer (9) .

Remove nut (10) and sealing washer (11) .Assemble Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Apply Tool (A) to the contact surface of nut (10) .
Install sealing washer (11) and nut (10) .

Apply Tool (B) to the threads of bolt (8). Install the bolt and washer (9) .

Position puck (7). Position flat plate (6) .Note: Measure difference between puck and barrel. Shim the puck as required to result in the puck protruding beyond the barrel by 2.5 0.5 mm (0.1 0.02 inch).
Apply Tool (C) to the threads of bolts (4). Install the two bolts and two washers (5) .

Use Tool (A), apply in a thin layer on the seal face of control valve housing (1) .Note: Tool (A) seals the two housings. Tool (A) must not prohibit piston movement.
