2 1 314-2692 Piston Ring Install the intermediate piston ring with the side marked "UP" toward top of the piston. Orient the black color stripe face to the right of the piston ring end gaps.
Clearance between the ends of the intermediate piston ring is 1.95 0.15 mm (0.077 0.006 inch).
Width of groove in new piston body assembly for piston ring is 6.140 to 6.170 mm (0.2417 to 0.2429 inch).
Thickness is 5.975 to 5.990 mm (0.2352 to 0.2358 inch).
- - - After the piston rings have been installed, rotate the piston rings so that the end gaps are 120 20 degrees apart from each other.
3 1 314-2693 Oil Ring The ends of the oil control piston ring should be at a distance of 180 degrees from the ring end gap when the oil control piston ring is assembled. The white color stripe of oil ring spring should be visible at oil ring end gap.
Clearance between the ends of the new oil control piston ring is 0.15 to 0.10 mm (0.006 to 0.004 inch).
Width of groove in new piston body assembly for piston ring is 8.040 to 8.060 mm (0.3165 to 0.3173 inch).
Thickness is 7.965 to 7.987 mm (0.3136 to 0.3145 inch).
4 1 7C-1412 Piston Pin Thoroughly lubricate the piston pin with clean engine oil before the piston pin is inserted into the piston body assembly and the rod assembly.
Outside diameter is 119.994 0.006 mm (4.7242 0.0002 inch).
Length is 249.75 0.25 mm (9.833 0.010 inch).
Bore in the new piston body assembly for the piston pin is 119.985 to 120.035 mm (4.7238 to 4.7258 inch).
5 2 7C-1413 Pin Retainer Install the pin retainer with the word "OUT" is visible. After assembly, maintain a minimum clearance of 0.05 mm (0.002 inch) between piston pin and pin retainer.

6 1 314-2696 Bolt Use the following procedure to tighten the bolt:
1. Lubricate the thread and supporting surface of bolt with Molykote Paste G-n Plus.
2. Tighten bolt to 160 N m (118 lb ft).
3. Loosen the bolt.
4. Again, tighten bolt to 40 N m (30 lb ft).
5. Again, tighten to an extra angle of 90 degrees.
The bolt is reusable if, overall length of the bolt is less than 81.4 mm (3.20 inch).
