Engage the parking brake (1).
Fasten the seat belt.
Make sure that the hydraulic lockout control is in the LOCKED position.

Turn the engine start switch (2) to the START position to start the engine. Release the engine start switch key after the engine starts.
Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. Allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again. Turbocharger damage can result if the engine rpm is not kept low until the oil gauge display verifies that the oil pressure is sufficient.
Engine Starting with Air Inlet Heater
Illustration 3 g06076923Turn the ignition switch into the ON position. Alert indicator (3) will be illuminated during the heating process prior to starting the engine. The machine can be started after alert indicator (3) turns off.Release the ignition switch when the engine starts.Note: The preheat time varies between 10 seconds and 30 seconds.
