The improved water seals provide an increase in sealing force.Adaptable To: The improved 126-1112 replaces the former 6I-1357 Water Seal and the 126-1113 replaces the former 6I-1356 Water Seal.The change is adaptable back to first production. The improved 126-1112 and 126-1113 Water Seals reduce the possibility of cylinder head joint water leaks by providing a 40 percent increase in sealing force. The improved water seals contain a rigid plastic insert which more effectively loads the ends of each seal. The improved water seals help insure a good top deck to cylinder head seal that should seal even if the surface is rough.
The 126-1112 and 126-1113 Water Seals are yellow in color, making them easier to see. The likelihood of a seal being omitted during assembly is reduced.
